Owner/Operator, Head Trainer
Maria Carter
Maria has had a passion for working with canines for as long as she can remember. At 9 years old she started taking agility classes with her family Collie mix and she was hooked. Marias passion for understanding animals doesn’t stop at dogs, she also has a deep love for her Equine friends. Since the age of 11 years old Maria dedicated her time to caring for, training and competing horses. Maria has completed hundreds of hours in seminars and clinics learning about horse husbandry, nutrition and care.
When she’s not working, you will find her spending her free time working with rescue dogs who have serious behavioral issues such as dog/human aggression and separation anxiety, rehabilitating them for their forever homes. Many hours are also spent watching educational material and participating in online conversations for dog training in groups for professionals, or training and competing her personal dogs in sports like dog dock diving, agility, flyball and scent work in which her dogs hold multiple titles.
Maria uses a balanced approach to dog training. This means she uses all methods available to her to best address your dog and their specific issues. This includes but is not limited to, positive reinforcement, body language and tools such as prong collars, e collars, slip leashes and much more
